Always Something New to Learn

When you’ve been in marketing a long time, you think you’ve done and seen it all. Then you get a great opportunity with one of your customers to stretch your creative abilities by helping them design the interior of their new building. How exciting is that?

Bison Janitorial move from the downtown area over to Church Avenue and did a great job of laying out a new facility for themselves and Janitorial Supply House. They wanted the inside of the building to be personalized to them for their customers and employees enjoyment. So that’s what we did. We added some entertainment to the lunchroom, some customer feedback on the walk to the boardroom and privacy to all the offices. We also designed signage for the outside of the building.

Wondering Which Social Platforms to Use?

First let’s talk about why social media is important. As part of your marketing strategy, social media allows you to connect with your clients as well as communicate to potential prospects. It is also one of the most used digital avenues in today’s world. It also offers the opportunity to create engagement which ultimately helps with rankings.

2022 or 2020 Too?

I’m sure you’ve all seen the latest meme taunting us that 2022 can also be perceived as 2020 too. As in, here we go again.

But I don’t want to head into a new year lamenting about the issues raised by the COVID virus and vaccinations. I think we’ve all spent far too much time talking about these topics, to the point it has divided friends and family.

Instead, I think it’s time to remember and celebrate some moments of 2021.

Google Reviews

Google Reviews – Helpful or Hurtful

I think almost any company has experienced the “trauma” of a negative review. Sometimes you’re prepared and other times you’re caught completely off-guard and are shocked at some of the feedback.

What’s the first thing you do? Try to figure out who the customer is and what you did wrong. Once you’ve obtained that information, you begin the struggle of finding the right words to either accept responsibility or explain the circumstances while maintaining “the customer is always right” philosophy.

However one of my biggest complaints with Google Reviews is the lack of verification of services or purchases. Anyone can leave a review regardless of whether they’ve ever had any engagement with your company. From competitors to entitled friends of actual customers to employees who may not have had a good experience working with you.

When you look at the statistics supplied in this blog, you can see both the positive and negative impact of reviews. Does it seem fair or reasonable your business can be impacted this way without any substantiation?
